On December 21st, we were able to partner up with our long time friends at Scheels to bring 10 very deserving kids on a shopping spree for sports equipment that they normally wouldn't get without some help. The night was filled with cookies, milk, shopping and heartwarming stories.
Last September Nathan was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Since diagnosis he has required extensive chemotherapy, procedures, and frequent and prolonged hospitalizations. His family now understands firsthand the difficult journey this is for children with cancer as well as their extended families. Nathan's family has been inspired by their son, as well as other cancer families they have met along the way, to do something more in hopes of alleviating some of this burden. Thankfully, despite this arduous journey their son is on, playing video games always brings a smile to his face. Therefore, we held the First Annual “Crushing Koopas and Childhood Cancer” Mario Kart tournament and silent auction. This event was designed to raise funds for childhood cancer research as well as other local nonprofit organizations supporting kids and families affected by this horrific disease.
The 7th Annual High 5 Classic was held on August 17, 2019 benefiting HLHS and also raising money for kids who can't afford sports equipment. A huge thank you to all the golfers and sponsors!
On December 8th we were lucky enough to bring some very deserving kids shopping at Scheels. These kids were able to get equipment for the sport that they were in as well as some things that they wanted.
The 6th Annual Check 'Em Cup was held on August 11th, 2018. This was one of the best tournaments we have held to date. With over 100 players attending, many raffle prizes, $10,000 putts, and a MN Wild Chipping contest, this was a day to remember.
The High 5 Foundation was able to bring 8 youth athletes to Scheels for a shopping spree for athletic equipment. Funds were raised through the 5th Annual Check 'Em Cup and we can't thank Scheels enough for supporting this wonderful kids and our foundation!
